The JP Stevens Hawks cheer team made the 2025 season a memorable one—packed with energy, pride, and enthusiasm. From the first summer practice to the last competition, the girls worked tirelessly to ensure a seamless experience for those watching them.
All season long, the girls brought hype to every football game, even though the outcome was not always desirable. Their clean, coordinated motions, sharp stunts, and smiles made every performance shine. Whether they were leading chants under the stadium lights or on the turf for the pep rally, the Hawks made sure that everyone had school spirit. Behind every stunt and perfectly timed move were hours of hard work. The Hawks grew closer through countless team events and traditions that strengthened their bond.
The team also celebrated a group of amazing seniors: Anika Rushe, Anna Hsu, Avni Kumar, Isabel Alvaran, Megan Gustave, Miracle Sayles, and Siya Nagpal. Their leadership, positivity, and dedication to the program served as a stellar example for the underclassmen. They leave behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered.
Sophomore Anviksha Mane shared, “I enjoyed this fall season a lot, and I will miss the seniors who are leaving this year. Through team eats, my teammates and I bonded, and we had a lot of fun! I will remember our Senior Night and all the planning we did to make sure the seniors had a perfect night. I made a lot of new friends this season, and although I am sad we didn’t place at the competition, I have high hopes for the future seasons.”
From the season’s first game and the pep rally to Senior Night and every game in between, the Hawks have shown what it means to cheer with their heart. The 2025 season was filled with growth, unforgettable moments, lasting friendships, and endless energy. They have set a high standard for next year’s team.
