Lara Cakir, Staff Writer
Lara Cakir is a current Political Columnist and joined The Hawkeye team in 2020 as an Opinion Staff Writer. In addition to writing for the paper, Lara is a social activist who uses her positions as a Girl Up Tri-State Coalition Leader and JPawS board member to bring attention to global issues. In her free time, she can be found making products for her online shop and listening to music.
