Since their top two players from the previous Ice Hockey season graduated, the team now has a chance to find new talent. Coach Mondano, is optimistic with highly capable freshmen and senior leadership to keep the team competitive and successful for the upcoming season.
Coach Mondao noted, “This year, our seniors will be crucial to our success” with students like “Brooks Yang, Brendan Abbattemarco, and Zach Chuck that all possess the expertise to lead the offensive.”
Coach Mondano anticipates that the outstanding group of freshmen joining the Ice Hockey team will make significant contributions to the hockey squad in addition to the seasoned leadership. The coaching staff is adamant that the new players will have an instant influence on the team’s performance, even if many freshmen may find it difficult to adapt to the greater level of play and speed.
Returning goalie Michael Dickey, with over 500 saves, will strengthen the team’s defense. His performance in goal will largely determine the team’s success because he can keep the team in games and make important stops, opening up additional offensive options. Having a reliable goalie gives the squad confidence because they know they have a solid defense.
Making the playoffs for the second consecutive year is the main objective for this season. The Ice Hockey team, which is made up of both young, gifted athletes and seasoned veterans, is keen to expand on last year’s achievements. The squad has the ability to make it back to the playoffs with Dickey playing well in goal, the older players leading the offense, and the freshmen stepping up when necessary. The players want to make this season as memorable as the previous, and Coach Mondano is prepared to take on the difficulties that lie ahead.
