On March 24, a huge crowd filled up the auditorium in anticipation of this year’s much-awaited Mr. JPS, and it did not disappoint. The theme of the show, cartoon characters, contributed to the fun nature of the event. Mr. JPS was hosted by seniors Vivian Lee and Aditya Rawat, who introduced each contestant and entertained the audience with some enjoyable banter.

The event started off with a grand introduction of the 12 contestants, who then performed a group routine to build excitement by dancing to iconic songs such as “Umbrella” by Rihanna.

After exciting the audience, each contestant, representing a specific month, introduced themselves, portraying key aspects of their personalities and why they deserve the title of Mr. JPS. They became stellar models, displaying their outfits in their respective month wear, sleepwear, and swimwear sections of the event. While each candidate was able to display their impeccable taste, they were also able to showcase their charisma and connect to the audience by personalizing how they presented each section. The audience was able to have fun and relate to each contestant, creating a better experience overall.

Next was the talent portion of the show where each contestant showcased their individual skills, ranging from playing the piano to dancing. Through this portion of Mr. JPS, the candidates were able to impress the judges with their unique talents and entertain the audience at the same time. Afterward, the contestants, accompanied by their respective escorts, showcased their formal wear and answered a series of questions relating to the theme of the event in the form of a Q&A session.

“Mr. JPS was a lot of fun and it was honestly one of the school events that I was most excited for,” said junior Emaan Qadry. “I love that everyone can get together and have fun together!”

To make the event as enjoyable as it can be, the Student Council put in a lot of work, including deciding on the theme, working with different choreographers and videographers, as well as decorating and coordinating the event.

Ultimately, the title of Mr. Congeniality was awarded to senior Sanath Saji, Mr. Talented was awarded to junior Nick Santiago, and Mr. Muscles was awarded to junior Ronit Chakraborty, and the esteemed Mr. JPS title was ultimately awarded to senior Ansh Doshi.

Overall, Mr. JPS was a magnificent success by bringing the JP community together and providing an entertaining and fun show.
